The data is stored encrypted at TransIP in two locations within Europe. The data within the app complies with ISO standards 9001, 27001, and 14001, NEN 7510, and PDI DDS. The app is, of course, GDPR compliant and has been approved by the Dutch Banking Association.
The Dutch Working Conditions Act (Arbowet) requires employers to have a Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E) and an Action Plan, including policies on psychosocial workload (PSA policy). Employers must implement a proactive approach against unwanted behavior, and by using Report App, you comply with this legislation.
The reporting procedure within Report App for reporting integrity violations fully complies with the enhanced European Whistleblower Protection Act, which has been in effect since February 18, 2023. This reporting procedure was established in collaboration with the House for Whistleblowers.
Absolutely, your own internal and/or external confidential advisors can be added to the support team within the app. This way, they also get direct access to their own secure case management system. If desired, you can also add one or more external confidential advisors from Report App, but of course, that is not mandatory.
At the moment, Report App is available in Dutch, English, and Spanish, but the app can be delivered in any desired language.
Yes, that is possible. Through the organization’s app, you can access Report App; you then leave the organization’s environment and enter the independent environment of Report App. When you exit Report App, you return to the organization’s app (return to address).
The goal of Report App is to create an environment free from unwanted behavior, where reporting incidents becomes unnecessary. By increasing knowledge, mutual understanding, and connection, difficult topics become discussable and employees’ resilience is strengthened. At the same time, everyone should be able to find support when dealing with situations perceived as unwanted, and through Report App, a conversation with a trusted person can be requested. Because trusted persons are easily accessible via an independent environment, conversations are initiated much earlier, allowing solutions to be sought and preventing escalation of the situation.
Absolutely! You can contact us to request a demo via the phone number or email address listed on the Contact page of our website.
The Report App is protected by a password and a PIN code that you create yourself. This makes the app as secure as a banking app. Report App does not run on the organization’s server, so even the IT department cannot access it. All data is encrypted and stored anonymously at TransIP (in two locations in Europe), which complies with ISO standards.
No, the organization does not have access to your profile. If you request a conversation with a confidential advisor or someone else within the support environment, the email address or phone number you provided in your profile will be visible to that person. You choose what information is shown, so they can contact you through that channel. Apart from that, no one sees what you do or search for within the app.
When you send your request, it goes to the confidential advisor you selected, who will then contact you in the way you prefer. Starting a conversation through Report App is always informal: you can share your story with this person, discuss your situation, and you remain in control of the next steps. Nothing happens without your consent, and no formal procedure is initiated. If, during your conversations, it becomes clear that a formal process is desired or necessary, the confidential advisor will assist you in taking those next steps.
A confidential advisor is a conversation partner—someone who offers a listening ear when you have experienced unwanted behavior, have doubts, or are, for example, a witness to unwanted behavior happening to someone else. The role of the confidential advisor is broad:
Provides initial support to employees who experience unwanted behavior and need help or advice
Offers a listening ear
Is also available for those who have questions or doubts about their own behavior
Maintains confidentiality
Explores whether a solution can be found informally
Refers to other help organizations if needed, such as a mediator, psychologist, vitality coach, budget coach, etc.
Informs about and guides possible next steps, such as formal reporting or complaint procedures
Gives both solicited and unsolicited advice to the organization, but this advice is never traceable back to a specific person or employee
Proactively educates organizations about desired behavior (and how to address unwanted behavior)
Advises and supports managers and leadership in preventing unwanted behavior
Records cases of unwanted behavior
If a confidential advisor or someone within the support environment is not available (for example, on vacation), that person will not be selectable in the menu (their name will be grayed out). You can choose to wait or send your message to another confidential advisor.
Yes, you can report an integrity issue anonymously, as prescribed by the Whistleblower Protection Act. However, a conversation with a confidant is not anonymous, since they will always contact you.
The logbook is designed to keep track of experiences you find unwanted — like a personal diary. It can be helpful to “write off” an experience or to review later whether an incident was isolated or part of a pattern of unwanted behavior. If you prefer speaking instead of writing, there is also an audio feature available within the logbook. This space is private; no one can see what you record here. If you want to talk with a confidential advisor and contact them via the app, you can choose to share your logbook entries, but it’s not required.
The app on your phone is secured with a password and a PIN. Additionally, the app itself does not store any data; all data is stored on two secure servers. This means no one can access your app. If you download the app again on a new device, you can simply log in with your existing email address, password, and PIN.
